Paula Blair is the owner of the Law Office of Paula Ogle Blair. Ms. Blair has been in private practice more than 20 years. Her primary focus is family law, including divorce, child custody/visitation, mediation, appeals, adoption, probate, guardianship and conservatorship, as well as other matters that affect families. Ms. Blair is admitted to practice in Tennessee and before the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tennessee. She is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. Ms. Blair earned her B.A. degree from Stephens College and her J.D. degree from Nashville School of Law.
James (Jimmy) D. Helton, II, with the Helton Law Office in Brentwood, focuses his practice on domestic relations order drafting and litigation in state and federal court. In that capacity, he works closely with family lawyers and their clients in the post-divorce division of ERISA, federal, military, and state retirement plans. Mr. Helton also advises family law attorneys during mediation on the best practices for their marital dissolution agreements and on specific issues that are unique to each parties’ retirement. Mr. Helton graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2005.
Kimberley Reed-Bracey Johnson is an owner of the Goodlettsville law firm Freeman & Bracey, PLC along with Attorney Russell E. Freeman. Johnson focuses her practice on trial work including family law, divorce, child support, adoptions, custody, estates, automobile wrecks and personal injuries. She is a daily court litigant. Ms. Johnson is a listed Supreme Court Rule 31 Mediator. She earned her J.D. from Nashville School of Law, where she now teaches as the Business Associations Professor to 4L students. She is in her 12th year. She is a former Tennessee High School Teacher of the Year. Kimberley is a member of Cooper’s Inn, graduating 5th in her law class. Ms. Johnson heads two non-profits supporting a K-12 grade school in Laffito, Haiti, as well as assisting build a 350-congregant church there. She is finishing construction on a small hotel in Haiti called Ti ‘Otel La, for short term missionaries. Ms. Johnson sponsored her Haitian “son”, Jean Bildad Michel, to university in the USA. Together or separately, their combined efforts provide in Haiti a school, leadership academy, hotel, restaurant, Western Union station, and construction of a large church in addition to their normal mission trips. Stanley A. Kweller is a member of Jackson, Kweller, & Hayes in Nashville, Tennessee. A majority of his legal experience involves litigation and trials in the civil and criminal arenas. Mr. Kweller has had an active trial practice, including jury and non-jury trials at all levels including federal and state courts and appellate maters. He spent 10 years as a criminal prosecutor. Mr. Kweller’s current practice is a mixture of general civil litigation (including a large percentage of practice in domestic relations law, divorce, post-divorce and custody issues) and business and commercial law. He has served as a hearing panel member for the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility. He is admitted to practice before the Tennessee Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for Middle and Eastern districts of Tennessee, and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Kweller earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Emory University and his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
Brent Lankford is an attorney in the Nashville Office of Stites and Harbison, PLLC. Brent practices primarily in the field of domestic relations, assisting clients with divorce and post-divorce matters, including issues of child custody, child support, alimony, and financial and property disputes. Brent served as the Judicial Clerk to the Judges of the 21st Judicial District of Tennessee, which includes Williamson, Hickman, Perry, and Lewis counties. Brent is dedicated to advancing the legal profession outside of the courtroom as a member of the Harry Phillips American Inns of Court and the Nashville Bar Association. He enjoys spending time hiking Tennessee’s beautiful parks with his wife, Jennifer, and miniature schnauzer, Bo. Emily R. Long is an attorney practicing at Holland Law in Knoxville, Tennessee. She has lived and practiced throughout both Middle and East Tennessee. Ms. Long received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee in 2009, and she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2012. She is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in family and domestic law. Ms. Long’s practice in other legal fields includes probate, landlord-tenant law, and general civil litigation. Ms. Long serves on the Executive Board of the Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity Knoxville Alumni Chapter, and she has given presentations at several seminars about discovery and evidence, and other issues in family law.

Ms. Panther graduated from The University of Tennessee – Knoxville and received an executive certificate in financial planning from Belmont University. She maintains her practice in Nashville.
Beau E. Pemberton has been in practice with Bradberry Law since August 2008. He is a 2008 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law at Knoxville. Beau began his private practice in West Tennessee with the firm and serves clients all over Tennessee. His practice focuses on Estate Planning and Probate, Elder Law, Criminal Defense, Domestic Relations, Business Law, Real Estate, and Municipal Law. Ms. Shea attended high school in Singapore and came to the United States for her undergraduate studies at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, as a scholarship student. She later transferred to the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and obtained a B.A. degree with a double major in communication and sociology, and her J.D. degree from the Nashville School of Law. Ms. Shea is a member of Cooper’s Inn, an honorable society reserved for students graduating in the top 10% of their class. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee and in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tennessee. Ms. Shea is a Rule 31 listed civil mediator and a trained collaborative divorce lawyer. She is also a Rule 21 approved mentor attorney. Ms. Shea serves on the board of the Middle Tennessee Collaborative Alliance and is a member of the John Marshall American Inn of Court. Kevin Shepherd has more than 28 years of experience and is the owner of Shepherd and Associates, PC, with an office in Maryville. He practices in the areas of family law, divorce, personal injury, criminal defense, appellate practice, and general practice. He is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 family law mediator. Mr. Shepherd is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and is a well-received speaker at legal seminars. He earned his B.S. degree from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas; and his J.D. degree from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Kortney D. Simmons is an attorney with Casey Simmons & Bryant PLLC, where her primary areas of practice are criminal defense, juvenile and family law. She practices in courts across Tennessee, but primarily practices in West Tennessee. Ms. Simmons is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association (Young Lawyers Division Board member, District 13 Representative), Federal Bar for the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, Jackson-Madison County Bar Association (Young Lawyers Division past-president (2014-2016)), Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Ballard-Taylor Bar Association, and Lawyers’ Association for Women. Eileen Burkhalter Smith is Disciplinary Counsel in the Investigations Section for the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Prior to joining the Board, Ms. Smith was a partner at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, PLLC, in the Trial and Appellate Practice Section. Ms. Smith received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law, cum laude, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame.
Greg Smith is a Member of Stites and Harbison, PLLC, based in the Nashville office, where he is a member of the Family Law Service Group. His practice focuses primarily on divorce, custody litigation, support disputes and neglect cases in courts in Nashville and surrounding counties. He has helped clients find and recover children abducted by former spouses, obtained help for children with disabilities and resolved difficult property and financial issues related to their domestic disputes. He has experience in international custody litigation in both state and federal courts. He also has experience handling creditors’ rights and commercial litigation matters in both Tennessee state and federal courts.
Jan Walden is a sole practitioner of A Better Way Mediation in Nashville, Tennessee where she practices in the areas of family and divorce mediation, including parenting plans for never married parents. As a mediator she practices early intervention mediation. As an attorney her practice is limited to uncontested divorces. She has previously lectured for the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the National Business Institute.
